Hi Everybody,
Yesterday while coming back from Fuwayrat beach at around 5:30pm, I noticed a very horrific accident near Exit # 72 on Shamaal road. It was so ruthless that a vehicle (4x4) was almost completely destroyed. Most probably the driver hit the vehicle with side of overhead bridge. There was lot of police and medical teams presence so couldn't stop to take a picture.
If anybody has any updates about the drivers and their safety please update all.
Guys be safe while driving and please no racing........esp with 4x4s....... !
Have a good and safe day.

So what ? How many 4X4 idiots see we on that road every day ? Yesterday I saw a Qatari lady zigzagging through traffic making all kinds of rude gestures to other drivers that could not move out of her way quickly enough.

Express way is most dangerous road in Qatar when it comes to accident since people are not educated enough & they drive so close to each other like train compartments. So during rush hours, if one car brakes due to an accident, at least 4 cars having accident behind him is a must.

Do tail gate

Do over take every 50 meter

Do honk until you reach heaven

Do flash head lights every 2 mins

Drive 140 kmph, between 2 traffic lights which is only 500 m

etc etc

where does the incident talk about over taking...the accident happened because of over speeding...and this are young youth who put their own life at rizk just to try some over speeding skills

hahaha nice question brit, but believe me..it will be a peaceful driving everyday where no one will overtakes you at the maximum speed of 120kph. By then horrifying car accident will be minimal.

Innalilah wa inna ilahi rajihoon

Request : Do not over speed...Do not show off on road....Drive slow and safely, your loved ones are waiting for you at home and not at hospital...:(

Brit..i will suggest car manufacturer not to install high power engine in all SUV's..and maximum speed shall be 120kph only..by then no more LC bullying on the road and no more racing, tailgating that causes accident everyday.

may considered for the people who admit the truth about their driving skills & come out that they are willing to surrender their driving licenses.

Their small cars should be re-exported before they are written off thus atleast contibuting to the inter. trade & help the economy move up.

Hope the occupants escaped serious injury.

I am proposing that Qatar ban ALL 4x4 and SUVs. Only Nissan Tiidas and Kias to be allowed on the road.

Who will second the motion ?
