On a free vacation or vacation otherwise and internet is the biggest consideration...hmmmm... I wouldnt carry anything with me, instead would use some cafe to read mails, if required.

Or better I travel with a 20T steel container shipped especially for me on that island. It should contain all my clothes, toiletry, books, cellphone, laptop with wifi usb, fishing rods and fish-food, diving gear, some beer cans and a first aid kit.
