President Barack Obama had a answer to European outrage over new allegations that the U.S. spies on its allies: The Europeans do it too.... and then they blame the chinese

Obama said Monday during his trip to Africa that every intelligence service in Europe, and elsewhere does its best to understand the world better

A Guardian newspaper article Sunday also alleged NSA surveillance of the EU offices, citing classified documents provided by Snowden. The Guardian said one document lists 38 NSA "targets," including embassies and missions of U.S. allies like France, Italy, Greece, Japan, Mexico, South Korea, India and Turkey.

French and German officials called the behavior "unacceptable," and German government spokesman Steffen Seibert flatly denied that his country spies on allies.

Russia's President Vladimir Putin said Monday that Snowden will have to stop leaking U.S. secrets if he wants to get asylum in Russia, but added that Snowden has no plan to stop leaking.

..and all this time they made us believe that it was the chinese who were doing the spying on the americans. The americans want to do the dirty work and then acuse persons like Edward Snowden of the wrong and imaginary things for exposing their evil practices

India on Tuesday refused to grant political asylum to USA whistleblower Edward Snowden.

"Following careful examination, by the sick, walking wounded puppets and senile guys in Delhi they concluded that we see no reason to accede to Snowden's request," MEA spokesperson Syed Akbaruddin said.

Based on documents provided by Snowden, The Guardian newspaper reported at the weekend that US intelligence services were also spying on 38 embassies and diplomatic missions of its allies including India.

MM no country will exercise its power even with technology and force. We see it happen on the ones who dont have it.

Exercising of such greats will end up ruining the whole world and we all belong to such countries.

So spy and survive is the tactics of them all.

No they don't LLR. In Canada they recently revealed the names, photos and addresses of some underage boys that were linked to a rape. While I don't agree with rape (obviously) I don't agree with naming and shaming people who haven't even been arrested yet for a crime. Not to mention its VERY illegal to release the names of underage offenders! They also did the same with a man who was accused of grooming a girl online, again, he was not charged with the crime and their was no evidence to say it was him other than what they "found." They think their some kind of super heroes when instead they're irresponsible and don't give a damn.

That's because India's probably doing it to. I'd say any country that says it isn't is lying through their teeth or simply doesn't have the technology.

Perhaps the most damning new revelation is that the U.S. government may have been spying on friends as well as foes. Thirty-eight embassies and missions are outlined as "targets" on one document

Aren't the expats affected by the power exercised. Treatment of maids is one glaring example of exercising power without any recourse. Point is everyone who has the power exercises it. Why then only US of A or anybody else for that matter be criticised. Are we in individual capacity willing to not exercise the power we have...I guess not.

Similarly every one should also be allowed to keep weapons to defend them . . . . right ?

One cannot make it yourselves and want to bully with its power over those without . . . . now is this really right ? ?

Why did we make UN ? To joke with this world . . . . where only few powerfuls still dominate after nearly 70 yrs of its creation.

I am unable to make out what is it from which the attention has been diverted by such useless news as it isnt going to stop either US or anybody else from doing what they are doing or intend to do. And there arent any conspiracy theories also doing rounds except for one in the beginning which though soon died.
