Should i accept Teaching job without contract?

Hello there, I have been offered a job at Phoenix Private school to start this September 2013.

Everything sounds okay, however two things stand out as possibly problematic.

1. i have not been offered a contract to sign, although i have recieved an offer of confirmation, and told that i will sign the contract upon arrival. Is this normal?

AND 2. Can anyone give me some information regarding Phoenix Private school, as it has no webpage and I know little about the place.

I am new to this forum, and would be very grateful for any information in relation to the two questions. Thanks in advance, jonjoe.

It is normal but in this case however I would suggest you follow the links and stories regarding this school prior to making a decision.

My personal thoughts do some research about the school before you accept the offer. Also, there is no paperwork on your employment, how are they going to process your work visa.

Btw read through this, maybe you want to reconsider the offer http://www.qatarliving.com/node/7046491
