World Humanitarian Day 2013
By landloverreview •
“Every year on August 19th we mark World Humanitarian Day in honour of aid workers, who have lost their lives in the line of duty. We commemorate their sacrifice and reaffirm our commitment to the lifesaving work that humanitarians carry out around the world every day, often in difficult and dangerous circumstances, where others cannot or do not want to go. This year our World Humanitarian Day campaign is calling on people to answer a question: ‘What do you think the world needs more of?’”
Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon
What do you think the World needs more?
And I do acknowledge that as human beings it's sadly easy for us to not notice our own mistakes unlike the errors of others. And that's why I wish jade03 will mention to me where I went wrong and showed a lack of compassion so I may fix myself, In Sha Allah.
i agree with you...but not all are perfect except Allah (swt)..:)...all human are borne to errors
And which post was that in which I was not compassionate? Please do let me know, brother. And yes as a Muslimah, I too believe strongly in practicing what I preach so will appreciate you showing me where I went wrong. Jazakhallahu Khair
Agree with thelonius we have far too many people in the world now and at current rates of consumption it is unsustainable
Fathima, don't just write good words when you were not compassionate in a post running right now . . . . . "practice it and impart the feel of tolerance - that leads to peace which is needed right now in this world"
compassion, understanding, and tolerance. Just to name a few..
I'll think I'll skip it this year and maybe the next. I'm a bit pessimistic on the human race. Currently these people are wasting their time and their lives.
