Exit Permit for Male Visitors in Visiting Visa
Dear QL Members,
I wish to share the knowledge gathered today in the Airport while my friend was sending their parents to their home country.
My friends' both mother and father came to Doha in Visiting Visa two months back. They were about to go to their home country (India) in Srilankan Airlines. Unfortunately, his father's Exit was not issued as he does not have Exit Permit. It is told in the Baggage Counter while verifying the Passport that it is a rule for Male Visitors who are coming to Doha even in Visiting Visa, should get 'EXIT PERMIT' from the Immigration Department if they are staying more than One month. This is applicable only for Male Visitors not for Female.
As it was known at the last moment when his parents are in the Baggage Counter, my friend ran like anything to the Immigration Department nearby Airport and got the Exit Permit for his father at QR 10/-.
So kindly share this to everybody and let everybody be educated about this fact to avoid last moment tension.

A Counter for limited services of "Immigration Department" should be opened inside the departure terminal of the Airport.
.
I have had the same experience last year when my two sons were exiting Qatar after a stay of four months. I was on my way home when I received the call from them that they had been stopped at the immigration. I sped back to the airport and rushed with their passports to the immigration. They could manage to catch the flight just 15 minutes before departure.
Just try to understand the tension all of us went through till they finally went through immigration and got the flight.
is well .........
yes thats true that male visitors 18 yrs old and above should have an exit permit when exiting qatar. its been implemented for a long time.
Thanks.
God Bless you
