What's the real reason for FAMILY VISA rejection?
Most of us are expats here in Qatar. We are living under their beautiful culture. As I stayed here for almost a year, I can see that most of them are Family oriented which is I found it amazing. But how come it’s really hard for those who apply for FAMILY VISA approval / RP? If you don’t belong to those lucky NATIONALITIES, your application will be rejected for sure. It’s crappy and racism. I know a lot of who applied for their Family Visa and got rejected. Most of them are earning well. Above 10,000QR basic, when they asked the officer in the Immigration why it was rejected, they can’t give them a good answer. Maybe they can’t tell it straight to the point that their nationality is FILIPINO, INDIAN, PAKISTANI or NEPALI etc.
They don’t have choice but to send their kids back to their countries because they can’t get approval. I pity those kids who needs to be with their parents and have a whole family. Their parent/s should stay here because they need to work.
Inshallah, they will change the system here when it comes for applying family visa approval / RP as this is a Family oriented country. No matter from which part of the world you are as long as you can support to have a family here.
sabelites- we read your first post so dont post it for multiple times.

Last May 07, 2013 we applied my eldest daughter who is 22 years old for a family residency visa, at first after 1 week of application when we checked online the "status is rejected" and then we go to MOI they were schedule us on October 2013 to meet the captain. But we surprised last June 22, 2013 they called my husband to meet the captain the following day. After meeting the captain we checked in the MOI website at the afternoon and luckily they change the status from REJECTED TO APPROVED. My husband is salary is not that much as 20k but more than 10k.

My RP application status showed 'Visa postponed' and upon checking in the counter they told me the same reason- document missing. in my case it was my bachelors degree certificate copy, which I purposely did not include in the submission bcos I never cared, and I thought all the other highly important documents- bank statement, tenancy contract etc. were proper and enough. profession in the visa is another villain, no matter how high your salary is. and lastly, profession vs salary. if u have a GM visa, and ur salary is only, say, 12k, still there is a chance of it being rejected.
recently my wife's colleague's visa application for RP was rejected only because they submitted 3 months bank statement. if you really investigate all these visa rejection cases, they all end up giving the same results-documents missing. and still people keep on complaining about this.
GGD, If your cousin has 20k, then salary wasn't the reason for the visa rejection. check with him about the documents he furnished along with the application. municipality approved tenancy contract, 6 months bank statement- these 2 are necessary requirements. i'm sure one of these might be missing.
RIP, Your sentence is complete with over sensitive Indians, religious & anti religious preachers.
its their country, they have the rights to approve or not. its just a matter of choice for all of us. if you do not want to get separated with your family, well you can stay with them or if you want them to stay with you, apply for approval. if they did not approved, it would be your problem, not theirs.
Sad but true Mandi. The good old days are long gone, now it's hijacked by children, over sensitive indians and the religious preachers...
BG - Lol! Well, only gays do that.
RC, well, not anymore. It used to be a good platform for multi-national conversation. Sigh.
Mandi
GGD why don't you think about it from the Qatari point of view. QL is a great site for expats to moan about Qatar but rarely do you get Qataris on here putting across their opinion.
trolling is his birth right
I don't know what kind of mentality you have. But for sure it is totally rubbish. It's not just about me or my cousin or it's not about a special treatment.
Stop trolling and just shut up.
RIP CORD - " You don't have to stay, you are free to leave." -- if you're pointing that comment to me.. Then shut your mouth if you can't say a good word. I am single and I don't have an issue with that. I am referring to those people who wants to have a greener pasture here and to be with their family at the same time.
you i-d-i-o-t!
but GGD Qatar does not owe you or your friend a living. It annoys me when peope think they have been denied their rights or think they deserve some sort of special treatment in Qatar!
If the terms of employment are not acceptable they are free to leave.
I agree, GGD, the "you can always leave" idea is unfair. That's why I continue with this often maddening thing called QL. I am hoping to give people information so that if they decide to come it is on good and complete information. No one should come and then have to leave because of unforeseen problems.
Mandi
eh ! i can get it for any nationality thats separate isssue that i dont want to take this matter in my hand
And yet here in QL just in the past few hours we see people asking about family visas for their elderly parents, cousins, in-laws, and siblings. Not surprised the Captain gets a little burnt out.
Mandi
You don't have to stay, you are free to leave.
Nationality comes into it. People from some countries if they bring their families never leave and they want to get away from that.
babu.. for monkey they allow here. Instant approval :)
I read about it LLR. I feel so sad when I saw those innocent kids, they will go back home without their parent/s and will grow up for years and years without a Dad or a Mom.
Babu - His documents is complete, as he ask for a PRO Service company here in Doha. But he is unlucky because of his nationality. Lol!
__________
You're right Mandi. They should hire employees without baggage. All single. Lol!
Yes. You are right. This issue was raised in Gulf Times few months ago. http://www.gulf-times.com/qatar/178/details/360150/employers-%E2%80%98affected-by-uncertainty-over-family-visas-of-staff%E2%80%99
dont agree
It's very sad. An international tragedy. Frankly, Qatar would prefer not to deal with families at all. Their original - and vestigial - mindset is to hire a worker, keep him/her for 2-4 years, send them home and hire another. That way they don't have to deal with visas, schools, traffic, health care, housing and an increasingly disproportional population. Think about it, why would they want excess immigrants? For happier employees? Hmmm, don't think so. If I were weighing a job offer I would not come without my family coming with me from the outset. Period. End of negotiation.
Mandi
GGD if 20 k maybe sum documents missing be patient it will be done, btw the profession on id card may matter
Babu- Well, my cousin has everything. Complete documents, salary is above 20,000QR. His family has previous RP in Saudi, Kuwait and UAE as most if his kids was born here in Middle East. But when he applied here in Qatar. IT was REJECTED.
Worst is.. when he went yesterday. The officer told him that "The Captain is not in the mood to see anyone".
MASKARA!
____
LLR - well, you're right! ;) In that case they should make it fair to all nationalities. Or else they make a rule here that Family Visit Visa / RP is not allowed. All expats should be SINGLE and no baggage. LOL!
more traffic jams and its not easy to maintain a family with kids if salary less than 10 k
