Honda City 2007 Head Gasket Replacement - Anybody?
My engine getting hotter after going for a drive for 5 to 10 kilometers......Coolant is boiling....reservoir getting filled up full......after somedays coolant becomes empty in radiotor as well as reservoir.....
Checked in two three shops, they says like head gasket problem......and asking me to goto Industrial area, but i cant go there with this car which it will get hot on the half way...
Anybody within doha can replace it ?
Any workshop other than industrial area can replace this ?
I have done the following test...
- Both the fans are running perfectly
- No leakage anywhere
First of all thanks for your valuable response.
Thermostat, I don't know how to test it.
Upper hose is too hot, when the red light blinking in my car.
Sometimes reservoir getting empty, sometimes it is full.
Previously after 10 kilometers, the red light will blink.
But now it has reduced to Just 5 Kilometers itself.
So the problem is getting even worser. Need to fix it at the earliest.
Last time when i did the oil change, mechanic said oil level is very low. So it seems to be its eating the oil also.
There could be another problem which needs to be checked. Check if the water pump is functioning properly and not leaking. The best way to avoid damage to the engine is to put the car into any workshop immediately. Replacement of the Head Gasket is not a very costly affair. If there are any workshops near your residence you can drive there simply by keeping some gallons of water with you in reserve and topping up the radiator when you see the temperature needle rising. But you must be very careful not to loosen or remove the radiator cap while the engine is hot. Otherwise you may suffer serious burns.
There is a team of good mechanics here near Jaidah Bridge who are able and can resolve your car's heating problem. Pl. let me know the location for seeing the car.

There is some other cause of overheating, is your radiator fan working?, check also the thermostat maybe it is defective before you replace the cylinder head gasket, I think you need to replace your cylinder head gasket if you see a mixture of oil an water in your radiator, double check first the one that i have mentioned
Either get it towed till there or go to Honda service , you could also try driving without the a/c
