Grand Hamad Road

It took 30 minutes to me to reach corniche from two swords signal this morning. The mistake I did was to start 10 minutes late. Hardly a couple of cars move at each turn of the traffic signal. And there are 4 signals on the way. Each signal is a milestone! The problem I saw was that signal turns green first for people entering from left who clog the short space available in between signals and the immediate green signal for the straight traffic has no effect! Hardly a couple of cars move before the signal turns red. People crossing lanes in hurry is another big problem! What do you say?

the expressway is a microcosm of the bigger nightmare that qatar traffic is..it is a wondrous road in actual, passing through most of the city hubs and even enabling you to completely bypass them if needed..and yet, it is like a deathtrap..anywhere you want to reach via this road; is so close and yet so far
