Transport - What a mess this morning

The transport system has to really improve out here otherwise its going to lead to a real disaster. The sight of all this traffic jams, people stuck on the roads waiting hours on end for taxis, buses, private taxis or whatever to get to work, market, hospital, etc calls for some urgent measures to rectify the situation before it really gets out of control. Perhaps they should get in more experienced and dedicated people who know more about the Road, traffic and transport management systems. Besides it is high time that the local transport providers add additional buses and taxis on the roads so that people waiting for transport don't have to spend hours waiting to get transport to their destination

Zafirah ,,, Yes, the weird thing is that we have many things to moan about QL, but we are still here :O)

brit,, why can't you chinwag in your car, Do you go alone to work? If yes I will send you my phone number so we can chat on the way to work, cause it needs a lot of time to see the metro :O(

I have a private transport to drop my kid at school..Normally it takes only 15-18 mins to reach to the school...But today it took us 1 hr to reach..My kid got late for half an hour to the school..

I was there in my lane for almost 45 mins...Traffic wasn't moving at all..Situation was really unbearable but ALAS! we just can't do anything except showing our anger on QL...

If it was difficult for people with vehicles just imagine the situation for folks without their own mode of transport. Some of my colleagues could not even get hold of a Karwa taxi nor a private taxi to get to the office till 9.30 am

It was bit hectic and difficult for me in the begining but it was really easy when I reached the corniche.

Currently it is a disaster, let's hope this only lasts for another month.

This morning I saw an Indian and a Filpino in a small accident, (bumber kiss) and they stopped in the road to make phone calls! It was only two lanes leading into West Bay and they made it one. I had to shout at them to move their cars you stupid idiots.

I reached earlier than I expected.. this is my strategy.. if today we have more traffic, I will take the same route tomorrow as I expect good and positive steps from others. :))
