Qatar Labor Dept has decided to disqualified for Accountant Visa for Calicut University B-Com Holders. No Chance to get Accountant Visa while they ( Calicut University ) are not mentioned in the Certificate as the subject 'Accounting'!!!.

Again poor recruitment, 6 months?!?!? At what cost. If you have a decent recruitment process you can mimimise these types of costly hires.

like acchabaccha said, 6 months were given for them demonstrate what they knew...

I agree with Brit, why are you hiring useless westerners, must be Indian recruiters that just take their word on what they say. You need to get them to demonstrate what they can do, not just ask them if they can do it.

Maybe it was sneaky Indians undermining their bosses and kissing the ass of the locals...

At the time of interview, i can do this, i can do that...etc....lot of promises for a good pay.

Practically when it comes to work, i cannot and don't know what to do....

This is whats most of the westerners do...except RIP who is at-least good in tea/coffee making

Surely the fault lies wit the recruiting process of your company and they deserve to be "milked"

My company hired two "qualified" westerners who couldn't cross the 6-month period given them to prove themselves. The company realized they were simply white elephants. They were sent home after they had "milked" the company for four months.

gj10110 Some countries hire smart heads from outside including India and send the useless ones they have to slog in the deserts.

Many westerners blabbers a lot on their knowledge, get jobs here in the middle east....

After a while, the employer understands their level of know-how and sack them immediately....

My tea and coffee making skills are unsurpassed in the region.

I was even invited to attend the 2010 World Tea Boy Conference in Hyderbad to lecture on the importance of being demure in the presence of arabs and westerners.

I'm not surprised. It's not a very good qualification. Even the tea boys have it here.

So initially rippy started as a tea boy because he has a lot of knowledge in that field

I find the general knowledge of most Indians to be very poor, however there knowledge of cricket and family members in keral is immense.

@Rip Cord,

of-course Even the tea boys have it here, but many managers of MNC's also having the same.

Don't estimate anyone by Paper (certificate), estimate based on their knowledge.
