Hello again

My last post did not come up on the main screen and only came up on the side so most people probably did not see it. Novita 77 and Deano replied so I hope they see this one too as they were asking about football.

I will go with a group of my friends to the location described below:

Ok here is the location of the football field, it is located behind the Khalifa Tennis Centre and Qatar Sports club on AL Markhiya St just off the Corniche and not to far from City Centre.
There is the main soccer stadium there, and directly outside there are three or four soccer pitches with lighting every night.
Does everyone know this place?

We will be there from 1 pm onwards this coming friday. I did say saturday originally but it turns out people work on saturday. I'm one of the few lucky ones that don't. If we do it on Friday, we'll get more of a turn out. We will be there in a group of 4-5 and we'll have a ball with us. If anyone wishes to join us, you are more than welcome. We are a friendly bunch, eager to meet more people, local and expats.

We should be easy to recognise, we are a mixed bunch of Turks, Brits and Indians who definately look like they don't belong on a football field. The secret word is "Qatar Living"..... :-)

Hope to see you guys there.

All the best

Hope this works out well as I'm desperate for a game when I get out there in a couple of weeks!

Hi

It took me sometime to arrange this friday with the people that i will be meeting there. I cannot change it to saturday again as they are all working then. In addition, I don't know what this place is like; ie. if we indeed have public pitches and if we can indeed use floodlights during the evenings. We will be there friday afternoon to see and hopefully will be able to play some football and get some exercise. We can then do it regularly, and even one the following night if friday goes well.

How does that sound?
