Sammie that honking thing is a cultural thing (ridiculous but it is)

I was in India recently and all the trucks and buses there have written on the back "Please honk" or something similar.

They expect you to tell them you are there rather than looking for themselves

But for instance that is not the case here as this is how they drive! For example a car got hit the other day because a minbus reversed into it, when asked why did not look he said because we did not sound the horn!

I think alot of women think they are bad drivers when more than not they aren't they just lack confidence because for years it was a man only thing to do and this has just carried on!

An interesting anomaly sammie. Statistically women are less likely to have an accident resulting in a claim. That I don't disagree with. Women are however, despite this, worse drivers than men. They lack confidence and are also quite terrible at anticipating other's actions.

In fact I would go as far to say that women are dangerous walkers for this very reason. Walking (which isn't done here so I have to talk about london) is a a constant battle to avoid women who stop or change direction without even a glance over their shoulder

really. I am terrible. I have this terrible fear every time I get into the wheel.

It is very very rare to see a woman succesfully running a kitchen. I mean a big kitchen.

there is one in LA (can´t remember her name now) who is doing a great job. But I do not know anyone else.

I've worked in a kitchen as well and I never want to do it again. Most of the guys who do work in them are ex-cons and the rest are drug addicts. Maybe that's why there are less women?

That may be your (gender's) downfall though sammie. Perhaps your ability to multi-task inhibits your ability to focus on one critical thing with all your attention.

The guys i have worked with are so up their own arses it is unreal but the women seem to handle it alot better maybe because we can do two things at once!!!!

Why are there not more successful female chefs? I mean they cook a lot more than men so why can't they cut it at the top level? Possibly because women lack the competitive drive of men.
