Did you see the advert for Sky on this website. My husband contacted them and Yes Yes Yes we can have Sky here in Qatar. Only drawback is that you will need a mega big dish. My hubby is still investigating and I will post when I have more details.
I prefer the Showtime package with a little ART thrown in, if you have a small family you need the full package as it has the Disaney channel and a few other kids channels, it has TV land which gets you alll the american series shows. A few movie channels and sports net world and sportsnet america, Golf, rugby, Aussie rules, all the american stuff. A couple of music channels and eductaional channels, it costs about 2800 QR for the year, if you hunt around you will find places that throw in the decoder and sat free of charge and install it.
If you want the full premier league package, sky news and fox sports for the cricket, plus uk tv for Corrie, you will need a package from ART as well, if you type in AL AWAEL on google you wil getthe right website. You will need the ART sports package, that gets you ART sports 1 and 2 ( Also on DSTV) then you need to upgrade and get the ART sports 3,4,5,6, and you get most if not all English prem matches, plus all European matches, then pick the other channels u want,
It is best if you already have a smart card through showtime first to let them enable the smart card within 24 hours.
I used to know a company that did all of this for you but they only do showtime now, but there is prob a company out there that will do it, if not do it as above.
There is also S.African tv which gets all teh sports you can dream of, but it's more expensive, illegal to have for a residential customer and they keep indicating they are about to change the encryption which will reneder it useless, Not sure if this is the truth though???
try dstv. we are brits and it is what my husband is going for. it has uktv, movies & sport. the website shows all channels and schedules so you can see what they are showing.
