sorry I have been keeping myself busy for the last couple of days...

Teacher, no, it's not. I sent my CV to a bunch of nurseries in Doha! But the vacancy in your school doesn't sound bad at all, I hope you will find someone suitable soon!

Han, the hours are 6:30 till 2pm. Great, isn't it? I guess I'll have to get my daughter used to getting up early in the morning!

But I don't know yet my starting date :( waiting for confirmation...

Wow, it just donned on me that you just applied to the same school I worked at and you just a got a job at a nursery....just wondering

--> did you get a job at the nursery at the school??

if so that's great! and can't wait to meet you.

hey buterfly...i am happy u got the job in a place where u can be with your baby. nursery or a school is the best place if the intention is to be around the child.school or nursery wont work for me, university is my choice but a long way off for my babies...fingers crossed.

all the best.

when do you start work and what are your timings like...mornings or few hours of the morning.

Wow congrats Butterfly...that was super fast!

Goodness took me ages to find a good job.

Most importantly you have your little tot close by.

Don't worry about a crappy job offer the first time. The first job I accepted in Doha paid really poorly...and I mean REALLY poorly, it was 12 hour days and just awful.

But, anywho it will get you experience so that you can negotiate a better offer in the future.

No worries, all smiles, congratulations again.

And sorry Choc for taking over this post!

I will be working in a nursery, which is ideal as I can take my daughter there.

It's nothing really, and it looks a bit "odd" in my CV...but we will have an extra income and as long as my little one settles well and I do a good job, that's all what matters for the time being...

hey butterfly, me is happy for you.

congrats on the job offer.

give it a try even if the job offer isnt that great, it will give u a change.

hmm i understand how it feels to be back at work after the leisure of being a stay at home mom. where u going to keep your baby? at times i dread going back to work again, but gotto to do it someday...its me who has the issues of leaving the babies and going anywhere whereas they are fine by themselves,as long as they have barney to watch and toys to playwith.

congrats again...mail me the details of your job whenever u have time.

Welcome to QL!

Am 29 f in Doha. I'm a mother of a baby girl and right now I'm jobless. But I have a job interview tomorrow, so inshallah will get a nice job soon...

With regards to your hotel offer, I'm afroid you will have to share. Sharing an appartment isn't too bad. I know many hotel staff who have to share a bedroom! Now...that must be hard!

2000 per month isn't bad as long as your accomodation and living expenses are covered.

And yes, there are many british expats in Qatar. There are also many egyptians.
