hey ram i agree, i should have made myself more clear.no i cant live without my hubby.he masha'allah is the sane aspect of me.

i hate those ads where happily maried men are looking for women for their company.

i dont mind ads where you are looking for friendship that can result in love or for the companion herself.....but theres a way of putting up these ads, most of the ads i have seen recently seem like searching for a easy lay.

This website is really gr8, it helped me to study the out market of used cars ..from this website i got students for teaching the guitar and i'm earning now extra money ... i spend most of my time at work in QL (when i'm free) and when i go back home the first website i visit is this website...

For han19 regarding censoring the dating ad.: if u were single n lonely, you will understand us.. u will know that living a life without a life partner is very difficult.. can u live without ur husband? friendship is really gr8 but it will not take place instead of love..

When we arrived in Doha we had an incredibly tough time finding an apartment to rent. We called many real estate agents, went to see many apartments - all to no avail.

Exploring our options for what car to buy here we settled on a mazda3, yet again we failed to snag a deal which worked best with our budget.

Step in Qatar Living..

We found the most wonderful apartment, that is absolutely perfect for us. My husband and I avidly read posts on this site, when the advert for this apartment was posted - he grabbed it :-)

So we did get our mazda3, in a very good condition too. A friend spotted the advert, and again my husband grabbed it :-)

All thanks to the Qatar Living Community for helping us to settle into our lives here in Doha.

Ql has definitly exposed some true identities of people, who normally wouldnt dare speak or openly criticise anything. this is like an alterego for a few.but its good.

Ql is also like a punching bag for some, they havent been here for some time, but they will come when theres a juicy topic in discussion.its fun when they are here though.

Ql also has given us a chance to understand each others, i dont know if people realise that their posts usually give away a lot about their personalities and I enjoy learning about people this way.

Ql has given me a chance to help many because they want to know our opinion.I have gotten to know some really wonderful people here who have lots to share about their life.

Ql got me to do something for the first time, donate blood. oh my lord, aisha knows the state i was in over there.

i have not seen any censors yet, although i would love to kick off those dating ads from QL.

I’m a Qatari 21 year old girl. I’ve been a member here since I was 19. I have a QatarLiving blog which enables me to write about whatever I face in my daily life. I’m very thankful to QatarLiving that it gave me the opportunity to express myself in a medium of smart freedom and alternate respect. What I love about QatarLiving is that it’s a community that cleanses itself by itself without any desperate need to a moderator like many other sites. It happens a lot that members actually stand at the face of any extremist, racist or simply trouble maker without any outside (good or bad) influence.

I forgot to mention that I’m a student of The Department of Foreign Languages of Qatar University. The site helped me improving my English and gave me a chance to practice it with native speakers of it living in Qatar!

Man i will twist my best friends neck for money and your saying people are getting paid to come on here and just disagree with stuff?? Please tell me where to submit my CV for that because i obviously chose the wrong career doing what i'm doing now!!

Maybe I have missed something but I haven't noticed any censorship. Qatari seems to me to be a very liberal moderator. If I was him, I would have censored some posts on the basis of gross stupidity and bad taste. But take a look, there is plenty of both.

if discussions have gotten twisted it because of the individuals and their views and moreover we love going off track until someone pulls us back on track.thats life on QL.

didnt anyone take your post in other threads seriously that you have made such a strong statement and it goes to attacking the integrity of qatari and other members here, this i object to.even though i have no clue as to who most of the other members are, we are trying hard to get people together through this site because we like to help people.

Humanbeing don't post comments on your assumptions, try to find out the fact before commenting. Only offensive Threads using filthy languages or comments may be censored. A forum is place where we can express our opinions which is good or bad. So I personaly don't think Qatari would sensor.

Can you be more specific...What you mean by users are paid for twisting the discussion???? Who is benefited out of that?

I believe Qatari would probably disagree with you. The only thing I have ever seen censored on this site is a male looking for a male relationship. Several people have signed on to help Qatari with news stories and events for this site and I can promise you, no one is getting paid. :)

I noticed many times that some forum topics are censored/ suppressed/ concealed and moved down or dropped down from the active forums list.

QL site developed on Drupal (www.drupal.org) which is content management software and provides such facilities out of the box.

Also, there are users who are registered and I believe are paid to twist some discussions.

Part of the reason for reading this site is the ability to hear rumors and things that are happening that the newspapers are afraid to print. The people looking for friends, the people selling stuff, etc are not a reason to read the site.

Part of the benefit is the discussion of Qatar, religion, world problems, etc but most discussions are just that. They do not lead to any solution to any problems. I wish the people in charge of different parts things in Qatar could hear some of the problems, concerns, and needs of the citizens and expats.

Mohammed Khatib? is that yo? Mo Cat-boy Khatib? if its you man drop me an e-mail i want to be in your story dude! Also other things i want to talk to u about.
