There are plenty of pretty girls here and there is a lot to do. Since I came here I have learned how to scuba dive, learned to play golf and been taking Arabic lessons.

Yes, it can be dull here but if you make an effort to get out and do things, there is pretty much as much to do here as there is anywhere else.

There are plenty of clubs and organizations and social events going on. You just have to turn off the TV and go out and do them. Its the best way to meet people and perhaps the only way other than work and bars.

Before I came to Doha I was having panic attacks, Two years in the desert I was single, Oh my god how will I survive.

Two months later I have a girlfriend a cute Chinese girl, sadly it didn't work out as she was a bit bonkers. But no more than 3 weeks later I meet a beautiful Korean girl and we are now engaged.

Put it this way you don't have to be single, and you don't have to worry about not meeting girls.

If your gay, well there are an awful lot of pretty gay looking Lebanese everywhere, tight T shirts slicked back hair, I think they are gay as they all dress the same way and drive round town in their cars together.

Anyway either way if you know where to look and have an open mind, I had never dated anyone from outside western Europe before, then you could actually enjoy yourself.

And I'm not alone, many of my single friends have hooked up with girls from around the world.

Keep and open mind and enjoy.

Seems to be the best way of spending spare time over here, Tyler likes to spend copious amounts of time and money on these.

I raised a similar subject not so long back on how to combat boredom. Other than shopping and going out for meals there are plenty of clubs to join (even down to chess), best bet is to get involved in sports of some kind (playing or watching) and take up some new hobbies.

We came we saw we were Qatarized
