i think as aviduser said that going to souqs would be one of the best places to get your ps2 chipped, for a cheap price.

Enjoy playing the chipped PS2

Aviduser, are you on Xbox live? if you are keep an eye out for me Im K666ADM - would be good to speak to you about Qatar, Im flying out on the 27th and will be there for 6 months. Work will fill most of my time but think I might be bored and need my xbox to fill the idle hours.

Go down the Souks and you can get the PS2 chipped chipped here, if its already chipped good work as you can buy games for the Chipped PS2 and XBOX (old one) for about 3 dollars each, and they have LOADS of games down there.

Pothole is right you will need a converter, they are cheap and widely available. I brought my XBOX360 here but its a USA version and need the converter.

Sorry re-read your post, If your XBOX 360 is from the USA it will be an NTSC version like mine, NTSC games are available here, more so than PAL games so don't worry.

The 360 does not have a mod chip yet but original games are widely available.

The PS2 as I say games are very cheap if its been chipped if not they will do it for you. Again all the games are NTSC so you are actually in a better position than someone coming from the UK

Cheers

You'll definitely need a voltage converter (120V, 60Hz to 220V, 50Hz). This you could easily buy at a supermarket here.

Regarding mod-chipping, I'd suggest you get that done in the US.

I'm not sure if PAL titles available here will run OK on you NTSC machines. But a good mod-chip should take care of that.
