Phones unlocked?
By Tigasin321 •
While hanging out with Tyler at the Rugby Club last weekend I managed to drop my phone in the water. Maybe this is the price you pay for hanging out with Tyler.
Anyway, after four days of trying to dry it out, I accept that it is kaput. I have a spare phone exactly the same (Nokia 6230i) which I had on contract in Europe. However, it will not accept the simcard of the wrecked phone without an authorisation number that I don't have. Anyone know of an unlocking service that could get around this?
You can try checking out your local cell phone shops and inquire. If you can't find any help the last best resort would be is to buy Unlocked cell phones next time.
Because if you bought a phone with music/media player options then you wouldn't need to buy a phone + an iPod
The simplest options are usually the best but I know how to use my 6230i and I want it to work.
You have a point though, why not buy a phone that is just a phone.
Another option might be getting a simple cell phone that costs QAR 170. Nokia 1100.
It has no colors, camera, bluetooth. It is simple & handy.
let me know how much they charged you. i took my phone (motorola razr) and got it unlocked last month at one of the shops behind the KFC. The prices varied from someone wanting 200 riyals, another wanted 100, some wanted to keep the phone for a few days (yeah, right)
in the end, i got the phone unlocked for 50 riyals
i keep thinking i could have gotten it done for less :-)
Frankie, will call you and am off to Al Sadd. Stay away from Tyler!!
Go to Al Sadd area behing KFC there is plenty phone shop and they will happy to help you out for a small of fee.
Give me a call and I will help...
No seriously - most of the small indian phoneshops will help you unlock it. For hardly any money.
Oh and yes that is what happens when you hang out with Tyler.
The lcd broke the previous weekend with him - and this weekend I lost my almost brand new shades :o(((
When the s*** hits the fan...
