Best Internet Service Provider to use

I am relocating to DOha, Qatar this week and want to find out:

1) Which is the best Internet Service Provider to use, and what are their monthly subscription Fees?

2) Which is the best Cellular/ Mobile Phone provider to use, where I can obtain a Sim card, and what are the initial start up costs, and monthly subscriptions fees?

3)If one is interested in obtaining satellite TV, which is the best provider to use, and what are their initial start up costs and monthly subcription fees, especially with the World Cup cricket just starting?

I would just like to find out what services are available in Qatar, as it is difficult if you do not know a country and to get started.

All your advice would be appreciated, as this can help me to look out for those pitfalls.

Cheers

Martin

there are some free wireless zones, like in Costa Coffee shops, and the European club Garveys also has free wireless. I'm sure there are others. Basic broadband costs 200QR per month once you are moved in and have a phoneline.

Yes, you can get a wireless router in your house. You still have to pay for the initial DSL line though. Unless you live close enough to another wireless house. :)

Welcome to Doha. However, it's a monopoly business in Qatar for internet and Mobile. Only one service provider here. You can check the link www.qtel.com.qa for internet and mobile. Everything is there.

For wolrd cup you have to buy a card for pay channel which is cost QR 775.00 (6 months subscription) and you have to buy dish, receiver and other accesories.

When you wanna buy card, call these number 4353513 or 4353565.

This is multitech number, call them and tell them your requirements.

Thanks
