Qatar living meeting

Thts a cool thought......is'nt kinda warm for the corniche ??!! OPen air....

Instead of all of us meeting up just to have tea coffee etc, lets organise a Qatar Living Charity Event, where we can have games for all ages and sell stuff that we don't really need. All proceeds go to Charity. Heck, we can even print QL Bumper Stickers n sell 'em. If successful, i'll even organise media coverage.

friday 5:00 pm. guys its simple, just keep walking on the corniche until u reach the sheraton, it was before the place to go to the palm island ( boats). there is a big round restaurent at the end, just stand there.

Alrite i will make it on Friday if possible

But at sheraton next to the Tea restaurant.... Where is the tea restaurant?

the suggestion i came up with, to have a qatar living meeting, and which almost everyone agreed on it was for some basic reasons for the benefits of everyone.

first of all it will be fun, that everyone wll meet new friends, and enjoy the time with them.

second, we will be coming from different countries and cultures, which will enlighten everyone about the cultures of the other.

third, Qatar is kind of a closed country and the chances of having a team or a group hanging out together talking about their interests and enjoying their time together is kind of hard.

so i hope that we can enjoy and benefit from it.

when your reach to the corniche keep looking around, until you find a tall handsome guy, which s me , holding a sign with a qatar living sign on it. so you will recognize me

there is a restaurent at the end of the corniiche near the sheraton, everyone goes there to drink tea. so plz 5:00 pm try to be there.

Are you referring to the restaurant which has the big Oryx caricature or are you referring to the small round building (which currently has the camel photo exhibition)?

first i'd like to confirm that i'm in, its a good idea to have group like that.

second, the date (Friday) and the time (17:00) cool.

third, calm down i'm here to help you.

you have to count the ppl first to know how many are there, and the have to take the responsibility of that as you are the idea man.

in the first meeting we will colect all the ideas from all the members to discus.

i suggest to make a committee (from 3-4 ppl) from the members who are in to take over all the group ideas, meeting time, .... etc.

so, again calm dowm you have a great idea and it will come to the light with all of us.

ok guys and girls, thats great that many ppl are interested. but plz i need confirmation from everyone, bec i need to know how many ppl are really interested and ready to do such thing. i also see great ideas here. hope it will be great. any way it will be next friday because everyone is free at this day.

We are all from different parts of the world.

We COULD, not have to, set ti up so a meeti on one occasion could me for instance, Lebanese.

Next one Philipino.

Next one whatever, we could learn about eachothers stuff.

WHEN I come over, [Ihaven't got a date yet, any thing between 3 and 8 weeks] I would love to.

We are all different.

From different places, doing different things, different jobs.

This is how civilisations start, sounds a bit extreme thet doesn't it?

People getting together for a "slight" commom collective, start talking, then before you know it we will will find common ground and needs.

Plus it will be an opportunity to have schedule for something to look forward to.

I suggest not making it too frequent, if so people who can't make one or two will drop out.

I don't know what is right, three weekly is nice and irregular.

this is a great idea !

If I can suggest something, is may be to clarify more the concept of this kind of proposal, so people can go ahead and share some of their time...

for example you can propose:

the frequence (each Thursday...?)

places (may be to meet in different place each time... restaurant?)

may be to create a newsgroup, so you can email people of the next events...
