on a Filipino group on QL I was informed that this is a Filipino Group, And He/she whoever said it was right.

I think "Friends" should appear in the name because it is the word that best captures the "unity" and "camaraderie" laid down as specific description for this group. For other types of descriptions, I think it is better to create a different group. If the majority is allergic to the word, "Friends," it can be substituted with the word, "Pal," which actually means "a close friend."

"Filipinos" should also appear so that other Filipinos can immediately identify it as a group they can join.

"QL", as host, should also appear.

This means I'll vote for QL Filipino Friends.

Hi Greetings to all my Kababayans, it seems everybody is so excited to see each other who is who tomorrow. Pa habol lang po my preliminary suggestion to the groups name. Why not “Filipino Expats in Qatar” since we are all expats in this Hot & Cold country.

And maybe tomorrow we can also suggest our primary goal or purpose in this, soon to be in the history of expats in Qatar, again thanks to the one who initiated this idea.

the one I submitted to Qatari at that time was "QL Filipino Friends"

for the groups name, with the thought that an official name can be decided during the "get-Together"

All those who would attend can form a caucus and decide amonst themselves.

FYI....QATARI WAS THE ONE who came up with the "Filipino Friends in Qatar" name for the group.

What about Qatar Friends Corner (QFC)? It's a cross between Kiara's and Juandering's and doesn't copy anyone's brand name, avoiding once and for all any possible legal issues with some chicken and oil establishments. Besides, if said fast enough, QFC still sounds like KFC and your ermats will still think you are going to have drumsticks somewhere.

why not get a big banner on Qatari home top so every one knows the master lives here hiding in that home :P
