Was as Thai Chi this week. We had tom yam and hot and sour soup to start. Both were pretty good.

Main was singapore noodles and thai sirloin steak. Both were dry. I think the food is better at the Thai Shack.

Nice restaurant and great service though. I'll be back to try a couple other dishes.

I haven't tried the ThaiChi yet, but I just love that small Thai place in Al Nasr street, where they have Thai Massage just next to it.

It's so cosy and their food is nice!

If you're looking for a problem, you're probably gonna find one.

Thanks Xena. Sure, I know the ways of Qatar. I was just hoping that something would have changed. Guess not.

We stayed in Novotel there ... then moved to Holiday Inn phi phi island. Love the island, but 2,5 hrs boat ride there is a nightmare. Horrible sea sick :-(

JoeKanuk - To drive around all of Koh Samui takes only 40m in a Suzuki Jimmy. if you like Rawai, Koh Samui is a never miss. next time you go to ThaiChi let me know , I will introduce you to some Thai food and Chinese food as well.

Zena- What did u have in Thaichai. I mean what type of authantic chinese food. I hope they have chicken rice and soup with chilly paste.

I just tried lunch at Thai Chi. It was pretty good. I can't remember what I had but it tasted Thai to me...the atmosphere is very relaxing, the service is superb. Not an overly extensive menu but most menus have too many choices anyway. A bit pricey, for sure. Not a place for me to eat every day but a great place for a treat.

sl- I stayed in Phuket town and rented a suzuki jeep. It takes less time to travel across the island than to get to the industrial park from Garveys.

Patong is too crazy for me...not bad to visit but I wouldn't want to live there. Rawai is more my style. I may try Koh Samui next time. I have friends there who can show me around.

well I thought so anyway...

Food was delicious, drinks heavenly.. and service... you only find service like that in Doha in 5* hotels.... and then sometimes not even....

Good Luck to Marius and the team...

Will be going back again soon... this time however, will have to pay for my food.... :-(

LOL

is beautifully decorated and the food is very reasonable too (price and taste).

The menu is split between Chinese and Thai, pleny of dishes (no pork) to chose from and the duck is out of this world.

The only thai food that i can vouch authentic only the one in Thai Snack and Far East restaurant.

And so far i can't see any decent chinese restaurant yet in Doha ... chinese food is not the same without pork :-(

Looking forward to try this new restaurant though.

Anyone knows the business hours of this place?
