I just went through the thread and also read about Peach,

He says, he is new to Doha and arrived 17 weeks ago,that means he has arrived close to Second week of Feb, ie around or just after "VALENTINES DAY".

He must have read lots of messages like For some one Special,You are the only dear.....many more things conected with love,so he is looking even in QL to have some one special.

We will have to check with him about his GF if any whom he must be missing here :(

when SYman says he's looking for someone 'special' I have it on good authority that what he means is that he would like to meet people who have something in common with him like, say, table tennis.

peach, i think its already been told before, but yup, stay active in discussions, try to help and you will make many fiends here.

although most have not met one another, we are all fond of one another, and ready to help.this is a small family.

Sorry for delay in adding my 'hi' (the internet is like wading through treacle today) better late than never I guess.

Just a month in Doha and I have quite a few friends that I met thru QL. Most people here are really friendly as they also need friends. Its a win - win situation I guess

May the roof above us never fall in, and may the friends below never fall out!

14 monthes in Doha but there was no time to start up searching for my special freind . i hope i can be an active member in htis nice group

me too have been looking 4 practical website, and as a recent in this site i hope that i can find my demand. actually i am looking for special freinds without considering the nationality or the religion.

I have been in Doha for about 3 months now. If you are an out going person you shouldnt have any problems meeting people. This site is also a good way to find out whats going on. If you have any questions I will answer to the best of my ability. Good luck with everything.

There are social group here ... you can join after 2 weeks membership. Xena make outing meets up regularly, and azilana have a filipino group too that also make meets up here and there (and usually from what i read non-filipino expats are more than welcome to join them).

And the social groups mean that if you want to you can actually meet people rather that being a computer geek with only virtual friends! If you don't want to then you can be annonymous, its up to you. We are having a british club social soon, then I will no longer be a geek.

I have been looking at the website and making the occasional post for ages but never really met anyone until I started joining in discussions and getting to know the individual characters here (and boy are they individuals!!) My advice is to get involved and you will soon make friends.
