residence permit in more than 1 gcc
pls advise asap
I have a residenc permit in uae too and i am trying to get a residence permit here also. i have came here to doha last feb with my uae employer's consent they told me to send my passport for the rp cancellation so i did. after 2 days they sent me back my passport telling me that they have cancelled my uae rp already but there was no CANCELLED stamp on my uae rp on my passport. im wondering if this could affect my company here in doha in obtaining a RP for me.
some PRO said they could not give 2 GCC residence permit but some says its possible.
can you please advise if i could still get a RP here without any hassle.

apple ang galing mo mag advice and i think all are acceptable... oo nga so u think even if i am holding a visit visa for the mean time its ok if i will apply for a new passport here since i want to change my name kasi i just got married last february... lam mo i want to speak to your personally or over the phone, do u have a mobile?
ok lang kaya na magapply nko for a new passport so if ever my new company will sponsor me they can put the new visa in the new passport and can just ignore the uae rp in the old passport, according to my employer in uae its already cancelled in computer kasi i was already here when they cancelled me.
He is a pilot and must be sponsored by Qatar Airways or related to and obviously having branch in UAE.
In short, he must be sponsored by the same company. It can be!
But 2 RP w/in any GCC w/ different sponsors is not possible!
Just common sense, if you do any criminal act which sponsor is responsible for you?
I agree, your RP must've been canceled in the UAE if you left the legitimate way.
ONE company w/ another branch in Qatar.
I think additional QR500 for the fees? hmmm, not sure though!
NOT possible for you to have dual RP w/in the GCC. Unless if you are sponsored by ONE company.
Please check the previous posts.
Tricky question, sly.
As far as I know you can't have more than one. I had friends who came here from Saudi and had to get their saudi RP cancelled. However, I'm not 100% sure. Can you contact immigration in the UAE to check the status of your RP???
Good luck
