Is it due to Avatars,opening QL home page is slow
I would like to know,is it true ?? that due to many people are using animated and in action of avatars in each member identity,opening of home page of QL is now a days dead slow.
Erlier with the same speed internet, we were able to open fast the home page and we could participate in posting some coments.
I cheked with a friend and after seing this page he said, as it internet is slow and due to the reasons quoted above opening home page is slow.
I think Qatari plays a balancing act between adding features and the speed of the site. A while ago it ground to a halt, and he had to remove a load of features. Then I think he found some added magic, because a lot of the features have returned, and the site isn't as slow as it used to be.

No, it depends where admin is hosting the site and how many hits the hosts' servers are getting. It's always slowest on Sunday by the way.
