If any one can help/reply me in the matter. I have previously made a contract with a company in Qatar and they told me that visa is under process. After 3 weeks HR Manager from the Company come back to me and advised me that we have problem in securing work visa for Pakistanis due to the fact that quota is exceeded. They advised me to send them my valid residency of GCC so that they arrange for Business visa. Iam presenlty in GCC

I am asking favour from all of you that is that correct that Qatar is currently not issuing visa to Pakistanins?

In case company secure business visa, how this will convert to work visa as there is no quota ?

Your urgent response will be very much appreciated.

it is true that Qatar is not issuing any more visas to Pakistanis. This order has come from a Minister. Dont ask me why as it is a very sensitive matter.

You have to be very lucky or influential in order to get a visa for a Pakistani

Good Luck in your visa struggle

Not sure about the quote but be careful about coming on a business visa. In the event that they cannot convert it at a later stage due to a quota (or if you fail CID or Medical clearance) then you would have given up your current job and not have one in Qatar!

Of course, if the company is a multi-national that has offices elsewhere and they can give you assurance that if they do not get your Qatar Work Permit, that they will move you to the London Branch or something then you'll be okay.
