Is it true that people who are moving into Qatar are not
allowed to bring in their Personal Computer with them?

What about your experience in this?

Am I allowed to bring my PC with me or I should ditch mine (Which is
pretty new!) and buy a new one in doha?

Please give your views.
Thanks
Mak1

Once again thanks guys/Girls.

mmm...Diana is very meticulous!.

The tower which is next to my monitor should no longer be called as CPU.

I came in two weeks ago with my laptop..........don't see why you should have a problem.

Central Processing Unit (CPU) is on my picture. :) They look like that these days. :)

On your picture there is computer case with (or without) :) CPU, motherboard, HDD, DVD-Rom, etc. inside. :)

Did you mean this kind of CPU like on the picture above? Unless so, please do not call desktop without monitor CPU. It is wrong and it makes me mad. :)))

I was carrying my laptop three times so far when I entered the country and had no problems at all. I think it's misunderstanding.

May the roof above us never fall in, and may the friends below never fall out!

Hi Mak1,

When I came to Doha I brought my personal laptop with and never got any hassles on arrival.

Do not know if it is just a rumour doing the rounds!

Unless something has changed, but I cannot see that, as I came back from leave 4 weeks ago and my laptop goes where ever I go.

So according to my experience you should not have any problems bringing your pc with.
