Hello all I am new to this site and will be coming to Doha in August. I have got a place at creative child for my 2 year old son. I was wondering if anyone knew anything about this nursery. I have not yet seen it as I am still in the UK. Any advice would be much appricated. Thanks
I am moving to Doha later in August. I am comign with my wife and 3.5 year old son. I am trying to find appropriate pre-school for him. Someone had suggested Riviera Gardens. Does anyone have an email address for them?
I am looking for a nusery/school for my son who will turn 3 on the 10th of Sept,2007. Please help as we have moved here in mid June and I am not sure how the system works. We are looking for an English speaking school. Also, need information about the fees. T
There are lots of English speaking nurseries here. They are fairly spread out over the town and most will have waiting lists. I think it is best to see where you will be living and then look at a few nurseries that are in your area. There is a nursery called Starfish Lane that is managed by two Australian ladies and is very popular. It is in the Landmark area but has a weekly minimum of 3 days. Not sure of cost, sorry.
Hi there, my family and I are considering relocating to Doha. We have a two and a half YO son. Although I won't be working but i would like to put him in a child care for at least one day a week for socialisation. Can anyone tell me what sort of fee they are charging for one or two days a week session at the Creative Child Care?
Thanks!
Also if there are other english speaking child care places should I be looking at also? We are frm Australia.
Riviera gardens is behind Landmark Mall and Creative Child is inside the compound. The American manager (Fran) has now left and the nursery is going to be (when it re-opens in Spetember) managed by a Mexican lady so there may well be a few changes going on over the next few months. Opening times are Sunday-Thursday, from 8am to midday. I'm not sure of the fees without digging them out but they depend on how many days your child attends; 2, 3 or 5 being the options.
I have got a kid also who is a year now! wondering if I can put him to this nursery ? Advise how much it cost and what are the facilities, operative time ??
Thanks for that. I have full time place for my som starting in September. I was worried as I have not seen it but I know it is more expensive than the rest of the nurseries I saw. I will have a look at the nursery when we arrive on the 4th August and judge when I have seen it. But your cooment is positive which makes me feel much better. Children are so important, we just want the best for them. thanks
I've lived here for 3 years and I've heard from many people that Creative Child is excellent. It's located inside a safe compound (in my opinion, a wealthier compound) and is managed by Fran who is excellent and knowledgeable. I'm placing my 3-year-old daughter (see photo) there. If you want your child to learn Arabic, Qatar Academy is available. But is quite competitive. If you want your child in for September 2008, please consider applying soon. In February this year, I started trying to get my daughter in Qatar Academy for the 3-year-old class starting in September this year (and there was already a waiting list!) Creative Child is more expensive than Qatar Academy by a few thousand (for the 3-year-old program).
