How would you rate Qatar Laws?

Hi,

Just wondering about the living conditions at Qatar. How would you rate the Civil Laws there in comparison to other Middle Eastern Countries. Is it liberal or is it very strict? How are foreigners treated?

The answers to the above questions would be of great help.

Well in Qatar at least you get a decent profession description on your visa based on your job.

In saudi you can find people working as programmers, salesmen etc with mason/painter as their profeesion in their visa. This is because of the minimum saudisation rule there for all the companies.

Even though you may be getting a good salary and perks becuase of the profession status in your visa you cannot sponsor your family there.

In addition to the above questions,I have some more. How are the Driving conditions in Doha? How's the traffic? Do people follow Traffic Rules? How easy or difficult is it to get a Driving License?
