Is it possible for a EU citizen to enter Qatar with a tourist visa while still waiting for a Qatari work visa? More important, would the tourist visa issued upon arrival at the airport cancel the process of the work visa?

I have been waiting now for 4 1/2 months and my work visa is still under process, according to my employer, but I need to go to Doha for personal matters! On the other hand, I do not want to risk the termination of my work visa process because of my entry with a tourist visa!

I would highly appreciate any help or information regarding my situation!

Thanks!!! I will be going to Doha next Monday. I checked with the immigration dep. at the airport and I can enter qatar while waiting for the work visa!

I have visa info on my site.

There is no reason why you cannot apply for a tourist visa. The difference is in the duration. Visas can also be applied for online at the egovernment website.

Usual max stay is 2 weeks but can be extended to three months if you have the right reasons. Hope that helps :)
