Well I think all the new generation will change replace all the windows systems and laptops with Apple Mac, where what's happing now in the US, and about the iPhone I think its will be out of store from the first day its will reache the markets, spicily in Dubai nd Doha, and anyway who need the MMS or 3G calls? even the SAT nav coz all the other options totally will turns all the young ppl to it.

The iPhone will not be expensive in the Middle East (as some have said)

(I run a successfull mobile business in the UK)

1) Arabs do not like change and don't welcome new mobile manufacturers easily. Nokia and SE are phones of Choice

2) Apple will want to get a decent market share

3) People in the Middle East want something easy to use and the iPhone needs constant syncing with iTunes

4) Phones are cheaper than any country in the world in Qatar (Talking about original phones)

5) The phone is Expected to be released January 2008

I don't know why people are so excited about it because

1) it doesn't support mms

2) it does not support MP3 ringtones

3) it does not have sat-nav

4) it does not have 3G

(I could go on)

..... Huh!

I heard about Vertu and Mobiado. Nokia Mobiado is quite not too expensive, and, it's a nice phone made from wood. But, for Goldvish, this is the first time. I was able to see their mobile phones. I wish I had one. lol

I'd rather wait if I were you...

Check this out:

http://www.engadget.com/2007/07/23/safari-exploit-gives-hackers-full-control-of-your-iphone/

"Contains every thing in the cell phones technology!"

Maybe not, just to name a few:

1. Cant send messages to more than one person at a time

2. No picture messaging (MMS)

3. No games

4. Cant set songs as your ringtone (!!!!)

5. No video recording

6. No 3G...

And much more... It's all hype that the iphone's a "revolutionary communications device". The fact is that it does nothing superior than other smartphones/PDA's nowdays.

I'd wait for the 2nd generation device if I were you. Plus, it's gonna be very expensive when it's out :)
