Getting a visa is really easy. Just pop down to the Passports & Security Department on Al Matar Street in front of the Airport (open 24 hours). Fill in the application form, attach a copy of the visitor's passport and a copy of your passport, RP and ID Card, pay the required fee with ATM card and the visa should be issued withing 48 hours.

I have just applied for visas for my parents to visit at the end of September. They are both over 60 and South African (I'also South African). I had no problems. Only cost QR55 each for 2 week visa valid for one entry to arrive withing 3 months.

Cheers,

Shaun

if they are eligible you can get the tourist visa issued in a day.

you will run into problems if they are over 60 :(

It usually takes 3-4 days to get a visit visa.If your parents are below 60yrs. of age its very easy to get but if they are above 60yrs.,you may have to meet the immigration officer and give some convincing reasons to grant you the visa.

Hope this information helps.
