Make sure you have an NOC or release letter from your previous sponsor on your hand. then you can move to another company without waiting for a period of 2 years! My best friend Mila back in Saudi. her sister Apple was here before and left her previous job after 2 years contract had her NOC in hand and came back here on a business visa after a month processing, found a new sponsor. now back in Philippines waiting for the working visa from her new employer. Visa is now on process and she's booked for September. "Insha'Allah"

Judge not! that you be not judged!

"there are different stories floating around", because there are different cases... By the Qatari law you cannot work with other company during 2 years after your visa is cancelled. But..

It very depends on new company which you will work with, or PRO who will do your new residency.

In any case, first of all you have to get a No Objections Letter from your previous employer that he/she doesn't mind you to work with other company before 2-years period is expired. And then counsel with the PRO of your new company if he can make a new residency for you.

I think from what I know..you should be at least 2 years outside Doha before re-entering...anyone can confirm that?
