1-If her perfume is Outrageously smells Good, She looks Good, Dresses good for the occasion and twist my neck: .

She is an elegant persona with Character, self confidence and beautiful.

2-If her perfume is Outrageously Good, but her looks are OK, then I know she is working on her appearance.

3-If her Perfume is Outrageously Good, but her Looks are not Ok, then she needs to go back to the drawing board.

4- If her Perfume is Outrageously Good.

But her Looks are confusing and deceiving.

Specially her Adams apple and broad shoulders.

then I know she is completely Jealous of the confidence ladies, OK females and Not Ok.

sniff your winter scents and see if you don't notice usually a musky undertone or even a rose one..both can be VERY heavy if used in certain levels. I think it also has to do with the fact that most skin gets a bit more oily in the summer due to the heat and our skin trying to balance itself out.

Thanks for the informative message. When I wear Gucci in the summer, I nearly smell a burnt tire!! I wear it in the winter and it’s very pleasing.

And yes, mom never buys perfume right away. She tests it for hours on her skin. Then decides to buy or not.

I am a little impatient. But learnt the lesson the hard way..:)

also..how LONG a perfume stays has to do with the amount of oil in your skin...dry skin won't hold scents as long (I know that for a fact..got dry skin...)

I used to do what you do with the going and buying it...then learned to try it on my wrist (never one of those paper strips..won't work!), wear it for an hour, then sniff it again...usually that's enough time for your body to change it if its going to.

Yes, on the winter perfumes..always a heavier scent due to the warm weather and they also have more of an oil base to them, and not many people can handle smelling heavy scents in hot weather. I know it will make me ill when someone does that.

Ohh gee...this lady that I used to work with would use Estee Lauder Youth Dew..in fact she bathed in it, I think..never have liked that scent but I was also pregnant at the time and it would send me RUNNING to the bathroom to be ill when I smelled her walk by. Asked her nicely to not use as much, if not at all, and she used MORE....lovely person...Also..smell of popcorn would do that and I LOVE popcorn..go figure..

I smell a perfume on a girl, and rush to buy it! then I hate the scent's reaction on my skin. The next day I smell it on the same girl, I still adore it, but I don't like it on me.

Also I noticed a difference when I spray the perfume in different seasons. I have perfumes I don't wear in the summer, but I love them in winter. Guess this is why there summer and winter perfumes?

Not sure though.

so I have to be careful and test what I wear BEFORE I purchase it. I can love a perfume on someone else but put it on my skin and, yucky...

I use Jaipur Saphir by Boucheron..always have guys come up and ask me what I have on cause they want to buy their wife some..lol

Also like FlowerBomb but have to be in the mood for it.

If a guy wears Caroline Herrera for men...I will stop dead in my tracks and hunt him down..lol

I think the older Poison was of a stronger odor. I used to almost (literally) faint from this scent. The one I have now is much lighter.

My story with perfumes is that I used to be allergic to any perfume scent. It would turn my stomach and make me sick. As a little girl, mom, the smart woman she is, thought of a brilliant idea. She started spraying my cloths at night, before I put them on the next morning. By the morning it is lighter and too strong. Then I picked it up from there. I have 6 perfumes sitting on my dresser now!!

(Mom must’ve thought it would be easy for anyone to kidnap me by just by spraying Jasmine perfume close to my face!)

The stubborn girl I am, I started spraying them right into my nose (no addiction though). And now I can bear different scents almost 90% better than before.

I'm SO sorry! I shared an office with a girl, years ago, and when she came to work I started asking who had sprayed the office with fly spray. duh

I thought maybe it was just the way it reacted on her skin, but then it must have been very popular in the 80s because I noticed it when I was travelling to work on trains and buses, in restaurants etc. and it was just that scent which didn't agree with my nose.

Feel free to turn your nose up at my GIO if we are ever seated next to each other ;o)

for myself I prefer to use the eau de toilette version of the perfume - it's lighter. At the moment I'm on Acqua di Gio (Giorgio Armani). Nice clean scent, not heavy.

There used to be a perfume called Poison (probably still is, but I can't remember who makes it). I absolutely detest it so much that I can't even bear to sit next to anyone wearing it. To me it smells like fly spray! YUK
