Well, when I was getting all this sorted, I was told by the visa person on the phone that people she's worked with have turned up in Doha without their PCC done and it's worked out all right.

Now, from my recent experience, I really was better off doing the local stuff myself (mine is coming from the States), and then having a visa company in D.C. do the D.C. business. Things were taken care of rather quickly, and frankly inexpensively. To do the last two attestations was only roughly $150. My employer is paying for this, so that's all good. But just so you're aware.

If yours is coming from the States, and you want a recommendation for a good visa company, let me know.

I do not think they will accept scan copies or faxes, you need to have your original with you.

well they will only issue you RP when you submit the police clearance. with out that they wont give you RP. its simple why dont you just go to the police station in ur area and ask them to give you a certificate. get it attested too. if you come here with out it hmm ur friends can fax them to you here or just send a scan copy.
