Visit visas for 6 months for uk and french national? Do they exist?

Hello all,

Can any one tell me if I can get hands on visit visas for upto 6months for uk and french national once in qatar.

We know that we can get visa upto only 28 days from the airport, however I called the visa section in Uk and they offer multiple entry visit visa for upto 6 months only to british nationals.
However due to the time constraints I cant get down to London in time.

I'm on work permit so I want to sponsor family but have to wait at least upto 4 weeks for the ID card. I want to know if theres a way out of doing the famous 'visa runs'!

If its possible to get longer visit visas (more than 28days), like the visa section in the UK advised, in qatar please advise where and costs.

If anyone can help with this please let me know.

Many thanks in advance

Thats why i think its better to get longer visa from UK. As you don't know how long it will take to get ID. I'm in the sam e situation too. But my family are going out with me to daoha together.

Can you get longer visit visa in qatar?

Thanks for the info.

But the main issue here is how much time does it take get a Id card!

Will it take more than 3 weeks? Some say it takes more than 5 weeks to get that card. Is it true?

This information is going to deceide whether we can make the move or not..

Wife comes first and gets her work permit and residence id card. She then applies for a 3 month permit for you under her sponsorship. 3 month visa is waiting for you when you arrive at airport and is stamped in your passport. She then has 3 months to sponsor you and get your residence permit/id card.

Hi guys!

I too want similar info.

Fortunately, I am now in UK. But if my wife has to sponsor me and my son is it better to have the visit visa at the airport? or is it better to get the 6 months multiple entry visa from London? This is because, due to some technical

reasons, the visa office has issued visa only for my wife and the sponsor is assuring that once we come into the country with the visit visa issued at the airport, they will sort it out. Is it true?
