Working Hours during Ramadan
By tasmantiger •
According to the Labor Law 14 of 2004 the maximum allowed working time during Ramadan are six (6) hours.
I have noticed that my girlfriend at the American School of Doha (ASD) has to work from 8 am to 3 pm which are 7 hours. How come the ASD can break the State Law as they wish?
I am a Muslim and observe Ramadan. I work my 8 hours straight, from 08:00 am-04:00 pm.
Our Client (local) works from 08:00am- 01:00pm!! no complaints though.
Salam
They can make you work any hours they want if you're not muslim.
Welcome to Qatar, where the rules are......questionable!
i have to work 10 hours
most places i believe give it back later on??
I know tons of companies where the working hours are 8-10 hours even in Ramadan and the authorities are fully aware of this fact.
Welcome to Qatar.......where rules are made just to be put into black and white.
