Mac Users Group

Is there a Mac Users group here in Qatar?
Anyone interested in getting one together?
I would imagine there is a reasonable Mac user population, from the number of stores around.

I propose for a regular (say weekly) meet, preferably at any coffee shop in central Doha (Starbucks Ramada maybe) for us Mac users to gather. Anyone in favor of this, please let us know.

thexonic, I don't know where you got the idea from. I use my Macbook Pro for almost all purposes you can think of. I even run security tools on it since mac has a unix kernel.

When i read the title of this thread, first thought that came to mind was that a Cornellian must have started this one.

Hello to all! =) I am both an iPod user (from a Nano 1GB to a Classic 80GB) and a Mac user (both iBook G4 Tiger 14" SuperDrive and MacBook Leopard).

I am also a member of the Philippine Macintosh Users Group (http://www.PhilMUG.ph) and the Filipino iPod Community (http://www.PodCentral.ph).

I am very much interested to meet my fellow Mac users in Qatar. Please let me know when you plan to meet.

Hey Vinod

How easy is a mac compared to windows? I am planning on a macbook soon. Is it worth it or will it be a headache? As a beginner I tried out safari on my desktop ( windows based)but had trouble with many websites. I am used to Windows based comps and would like to have a mac laptop just for a change. Some of my friends said I would find it difficult. Give me your thoughts on this.
