Difference between IPC and Nat Cirriculum for Eng & Wals
Any teachers out there that know the difference between the International Primary Curriculum and the National Curriculum for Engalnd and Wales is?
I am sending my son to Compass In January, will he be OK on International rather than England and Wales one? Anything to be wary of?

As I understand it, Compass do indeed follow the English National Curriculum for Maths and English, but for all other subjects they follow the International Primary Curriculum (IPC). However, maybe I've got that wrong, as I do not know much about the Compass School and what I have heard is second or third hand information.
The IPC was originally developed by Fieldwork Education, in tandem with Shell, and no doubt it is used in most of the Shell schols around the world. Fieldwork have a fair bit of information about the IPC on their website. I have only known one English family (whose children I used to teach) who have made the transition from NC to IPC. The children (and the parents) found the IPC rather vague and woolly. I have heard that the IPC fits in fairly well with the IB programme, but perhaps that is not much comfort if you and your family are planning to go back to the U.K. in the forseeable future
