I have spent about an hour on the net figuring out when the bars in Doha will open after Ramadan. No luck. Does anyone happen to know???? I have been in Doha a hectic 10 days now and I do believe a drink or two would do me good......Sigh!!!
Mmm... yeah. I went diving, got all burned, got tired, and ended up wanting to stay in. I put Spiderman III in the video player and fell asleep within 30 minutes. I don't know if it was the movie or the activities. I woke up in enough time to watch the last 20 minutes of the world cup, but that was it.
Besides, you couldn't pay me to go out last night. All the folk out, driving their cars either too slowly or manically fast... gah.
We can always get a post-Eid fiesta going, after things calm down a bit.
Or I'm going to Oktoberfest next Friday. Tent opens at 7, band starts up at 7.30. Food is 140 riyals net, buffet. Chefs and band flown in from Bavaria, so it's actual 'local' people making the food and music. Dress code either Bavarian wear or casual (t-shirt and jeans casual). Thursday's fully booked already. You go to the Intercon to purchase your tickets. That's where I'll be. If anyone else is going Friday PM me.

Yep, I'm thinking a nice plunge at the Intercon would be lovely. I just arbitrarily chose the Intercon as I know they have the swimup bar, it's close to my house, and I know just where to go. Or something like that.
I may get back to my morning swim at the hotel tomorrow, now I know I not only can have my pot of coffee after the gym, but also a wee drinkypooh at the pool bar whilst doing my widths! :D :D :D
