Are Asian workers getting hanged during Eid?

I just read this article on the web version of The Peninsula, and was wondering what crime the Asian workers had committed, causing them to get hanged on the Corniche - and on Eid!!! :-)

God.. i was thinkin public hangin.. Then i realised how gud their english is.. "Single expats hanged near the corniche..." whoa.. it means a lot different for ppl like us and maybe nothing different to the editor of that newspaper..
