CORNICHE IS BEING POLLUTED....
I dont know whether cigrette smoking is prohibited in corniche or not.
if it isn't it should be. while walking in corniche, specially in evening one can easily breathe the smoke of cigrette.people go there to have fresh air not for pollluted air. Moreover we can see waste out of bins.And one cannot be avoided by the flying insects near kiosk in the corniche. It is a serious concern my frendz plz give ur ideas.

Huh? not smoking at cornich ??? are you serious ? I'm a smoker, but I never did that while walking along Cornich. BUT CORNICH is AN OPEN SPACE WOW??? how can you imagine forbiding smoking there ????

Well probably in bewtween swallowing cigarette smoke and car exhaust and partly overcrowded greenery andthe crowds buying fish nights and whenever somewhere and sometime thers must be some enjoyment lol.

That is easy physics lesson ... Water, Air and sounds are moving in the forms of waves ..
Try to light up a candle in room which doesn't have any air coming inside .. and stand at the other end of the room and blow towards the candle .. after a while u will find that the flame is moving as if u were s close .. that's bcuz the air u blow hit other stable air and it keeps on pushing it and moves towards the candle in waves ..

It is nice on a Friday morning early no traffic no smokers and no pollution. However, perhaps I should have kept that for myself because now there will be rush on Friday mornings lol.

I try and avoid it if I can..which is sad because it SOO pretty there..miss half the sights because I'm trying not to get hit or hit someone else.
Actually it is amazing - last night on TV there was a film it was actually about how to market cigarettes I only looken in for a few mins. It was back in the 60's when they found out smoking was a health hazzard and today it is in this forum.
Whoever smokes is creating a health hazzard to themselves and also to others unfortunately this is still not a crime but smokers are feeling the squeeze only iti s a great revenue for most governments this is why they have not forbidden it altogether.
The Cornich is a hazzard in itself as they air is far more pollutted there than in any part of the city so even if people are going over ther to excercise they are still damaging their health - like a dog biting it's own tail huh.
with all that exhaust and fumes..its a wonder the smokers don't just spontaneously combust.
How on earth did you reach the idea that the Corniche has wonderful fresh air it probably has the highest rate of traffic in Doha so polluted anyway - so forget about your cigarettes they are just another hazzard.

My friend after a good long walk smokes a cigarette on the corniche. if its banned on the corniche he would go and sit in the car and smoke.
and someone should feel embarass smoking in a place where everyone's tryin to be fit and healthy... ...i'd rather smoke inside my car...
to start up with..they should provide the public with covered trash bins...
