What do women really want?

azilana7037

Take some time to read this....good one and very True!!!

Young King Arthur was ambushed and imprisoned by the monarch of
a neighboring kingdom. The monarch could have killed him but was moved
by Arthur's youth and ideals. So, the monarch offered him his freedom,
as long as he could answer a very difficult question. Arthur would have
a year to figure out the answer and, if after a year, he still had no
answer, he would be put to death.

The question was: What do women really want?

He accepted the monarch's proposition to have an answer by year's end. He returned to his kingdom and began to poll everyone. Many people advised him to consult the old witch, for only she would have the answer. But the price would be high as the witch was famous through out the kingdom for the exorbitant prices she charged. The last day of the year arrived and Arthur had no choice but to talk to the witch.

She agreed to answer the question, but he would have to agree to her price first. The old witch wanted to marry Sir Lancelot, The most noble of the Knights of the Round Table, and Arthur's closest friend! He refused to force his friend to marry her and endure such a terrible burden, But Lancelot, having learnt of the proposal, spoke with Arthur. He said nothing was too big of a sacrifice compared to Arthur's life and the preservation of the Round Table.

Hence, a wedding was proclaimed and the witch answered. Arthur's question thus: "What a woman really wants?"

She said, "Is to be in charge of her own life."

Everyone in the kingdom instantly knew that the witch had uttered a great truth.

And that Arthur's life would be spared. And so it was. The neighboring monarch granted Arthur his freedom. And Lancelot and the witch had a wonderful wedding. The honeymoon hour approached and, Lancelot, steeling himself for a horrific experience, entered the bedroom. But, what a sight awaited him. The most beautiful woman he had ever seen lay before him on the bed. The astounded Lancelot asked what had happened.

The beauty replied that since he had been so kind to her when she appeared as a witch, She would henceforth be her horrible and deformed self only half the time. And the beautiful maiden the other half.

"Which would you prefer? She asked him.

"Beautiful during the day...or at night?"

Lancelot pondered the predicament. During the day he could have a beautiful woman to show off to his friends, But at night, in the privacy of his castle, an old witch!

Or,

Would he prefer having a hideous witch during the day? But by night a beautiful woman for him to enjoy wondrous, intimate moments with?

(If you are a man reading this...) What would YOUR choice be?

(If you are a woman reading this) What would YOUR MAN'S choice be?
What Lancelot chose, is given below:

Noble Lancelot, knowing the answer the witch gave Arthur to his question, He said that he would allow HER to make the choice herself. Upon hearing this, she announced that she would be beautiful all the time. Because, he had respected her enough, to let her be in charge of her own life.

Now... what is the moral to this story?

1) There is a powerful creature (witch) in every woman no matter how beautiful she is!

2) If you don't let a woman have her own way, things are going to get ugly.

So, always remember: IT'S EITHER "HER WAY" OR IT'S "NO WAY"!!!

A article I wrote for the Tribune (once again unpublished, once again unsurprisingly) from a feminist perspective on female and male identities within relationships.

http://earsopen.blogspot.com/2007/09/feminism-and-death-of-romance.html

Saves me repeating myself. Saves all you guys reading my nonsense unless you really want to. We’re all winners.

Personally, though, all I basically want is someone who'll listen to the cds I make them, laugh at my jokes and be utterly, shamlessly happy with. I don't think boys are so complicated to be honest.

he wouldnt say he didn't like what I was wearing or how my hair is done unless I asked him. :D And I think most women DO ask their 'man' is they look OK, don't they?

It's just that most women ask, then go off and do it their own way regardless. Don't get me wrong, I doubt I'm a wimp - I just don't want to sit at a table in a restaurant knowing the guy eating with me doesn't like how I look!

Believe me, when I was home alone in the UK, and hub was working abroad, I was occasionally a little more daring ;D (well a few years ago anyway lol)

thats the point jauntie. why should you wear something not liked by the one you live with. Otherwise you need to strong willed to withstand criticism

everyone told me how nice it looked, even a woman I'd never met on holiday came over to me and commented on it!

My husband didn't like the hairstyle, so next time I went to my hairdresser (male) I told him this and said I wanted a change.

The hairdresser looked horrified; he turned to the women in his salon and said: 'What woman ever listened to what her husband thinks?'

I felt a bit silly, actually :/ But, you see, I wasn't living with the people who DID like my hair, was I.

hehe. not let her decide what to do for herself but let her decide what to do together.

i dont like girls interfering me much. and wudnt change my way for a girl so i 'mostly' do the same for girls.

and i cant understand people they care people they meet a lot. u can understand if he/she is special for u or not. if he is not and u still continue it means u need more experience:)

thats why i dont really care about girls. maybe sometimes i do much. but still.. i know what i want and i know when i see what i want it usually happens..

Hmmm Salax, I wasn't talking to u, I was talking to nib. Sorry.

u would "let" her decide ?? How generous of u to allow her to make her own decisions! geez!

By nib• 24 Oct 2007 18:36

i wudnt be with a girl for long if it is always her way. can be around a week:)

but the point here.. she shud be a good girl making decisions for both . not for her satisfaction.. or for the idea... i shud use this guy..

then i wud let her decide most of the time..

I don't agree with "it's her way or no way", I believe in compromise, it's the solution to everything. Actually it would suck if it was always my way, I mean life is about sharing...and that includes decisions and choices, so u should compromise with ur partner...afterall u get what u give.

Personally, I don't know what I want, and I'm happy like that...life would be too boring if I knew exactly what I wanted...it's better to just live and take opportunities as they come along, who knows what tomorrow might hold...it might hold Josh Hartnett proposing to me *goes back to daydreaming* lol
