Residence Permit / Exit Permit

Hi everybody

My employer is cancelling my RP as i need to go back to my country urgently for health reason...The man in charge of the administrative matters told me i do not need an exit permit to leave the country as my RP is being cancelled....

Is this true? Does that means that after cancellation of my RP, i can leave the country with only my passport & ticket?

how long does it take to get exit permit? because i am travelling on thursday and he has not yet returned my passport with residence permit cancelled

but he told me there is no need for exit permit

You still need an exit permit. My company gives exit permit even if RP is cancelled.
