Is the DVD writable or re writable. Which program u used, i mean from which website.

Blackcat I use Ulead Videostudio. Not sure about Real Player. Any software with an option to burn CD which includes DVD as an option would do. You have to copy paste and that's it. Don't worry about the streaming options (I am confusing you, am I)

and what software do I use to burn a new dvd? can i do it with the real player? or do i need a special software?

Blackcat the file format .BUP is back up files. They can not be encrypted again. They are formed automatically while burning DVD files. Same goes for .IFO which stores content about movie files. You may get it back while burning a new DVD .

but they disappeared from my DVD.. and I am so sad about it! What software I can use for writing them back to DVD? and there was 7 files on this DVD. three of them are VOB files, and I can play them on Real Player, but other two are BUP files and last two are IFO files. What does it mean, why all files are in different format, how can I play these 4 non-VOB files, and how I can put them all together on the new DVD? THANKS to everybody!!

Exactly and the only reason you would need to decrypt it is to copy it.

And yes they are correct nothing bad can happen to a dvd...

When you rip and decrypt it is copied to the hard drive...

And then once it is done you write it back to another DVD

decrypt means to break the encryption. some DVDs are copy protected and you need special illegal softwares to copy them onto another blank DVD.

I dont think you can erase the data so easily from a DVD unless it it a rewritable DVD

The software 'DVD decrypter' just means it will convert DVD VOB files into another format eg. mpeg/avi ...

Blackcat it appears that your DVD disc was Rewritable disc. Since you copied or rather cut and pasted all your files into this software DVD decrypter they are lost from the disc. You can rewrite them on the CD or burn the CD in any format you like.

is that like re-formatting DVD, which erase all data? or it is just transferring from DVD to the comp? and why the DVD is emty now? what exactly happend?

please help me.. i know you are related to IT.. just tell me if I have done something wrong with DVD? I mean, could i damage it somehow by decrypting or what? Tell me, if I would use other software, the content of DVD would be saved on DVD?
