I've just arrived in Doha and am 30 weeks pregnant. Does anyone know of of a good place for ante natale classes or aquagym session designed for pregnant ladies?
Are you still in Qatar? Are you still giving classes? My husband and I have recently moved to Doha and I am 20 weeks pregnant so will be looking to start antenatal classes in the new year.
My husband and I are looking for a Lamaze instructor here in Doha, Qatar. We'd like to inquire on how we could join your lamaze classes and we'd like to find out as well how much will it cost us.
Make sure you have a birth plan. Al-Ahli ws a 5* star in general. They didnt seem to be pushy as lots of people say health service is here, especially for C-sect. They do seem to prefer performing episiotomy to speeden delivery. It this is your first epidural would be good, my wife didnt and only used gas and air - she wasnt too happy during it and i fealt distressed. She will probably do the same again though so ur choice and have a good one.
Al-Ahli is a great place to have a baby. I had my son there in September 2006. Tips and such was just discussed over at expatwoman.com - here's the link:

Hi Cnidaria,
Congratulations on the arrival of your little bundle of joy :)
I was considering giving birth at Al-Alhi, do you have any comments, tips regarding this hospital?
Thanks!
We've just had our first child here (born in Al-Alhi early October).
We didnt find any decent anti natal classes here of aquaaerobics im afraid. We got a lot of DVDs sent over to compensate.
There is a good female expats web site based in UAE do a search on this site as this topic has been discussed a lot before.
Best of luck
