Funny London Heathrow announcements

It's self explanatory but is about how a group of blokes sent messages via the LHR announcement system to supposedly arriving passengers.
It had me laughing.

I'm such a killjoy. Not even a ship's cat called Pussy Virus.

However, it might perk you up to know that whilst the naughty nautical names were apparently nothing more than myths passed down by generations of schoolboys, when I looked into the case further I DID discover that 'Pugwash' is [allegedly] "Australian slang for a form of oral sex".

Every cloud has a silver lining :P

No Roger the Cabin Boy, no Mr Bates and no Seaman Staines? Please say it ain't so. I was just loving the audacity of those Brits and now I learn that its not true! Woe is me!

You are thinking of 'Captain Pugwash'. There was also Roger the Cabin Boy ROFL

However, it's urban myth.

" Like many urban myths, the one surrounding “Captain Pugwash” appears to have been discredited. Infamous for supposedly hidden homosexual references, Captain Pugwash has reputedly included things like Seaman Staines and Roger the Cabin Boy. I’m sure as kids this would have gone right over our heads even if it was true but apparently it isn’t and so Auntie Beeb survives another wave of law suits from emotionally damaged 30 somethings who always thought that the Captain was just innocent fun. Captain Pugwash was the blustered pirate who bossed around the work-shy crew of his ship the Black Pig as they sailed the Seven Seas. The rotund Captain was always bold before the event, with a tendency to get into scrapes (and make a speedy exit forthwith). To generate the basic cartoon effects, speech was simulated by moving a piece of card behind the character's open mouths. Captain Pugwash was no match for his various shiver-me-timbers foes but fortunately he was regularly rescued from the clutches of black-bearded arch villain Cut-Throat Jake (of the 'Flying Dustbin') by the Black Pig's cabin boy Tom (and not Roger who didn’t actually exist)".

Scarlett's post reminded me of an English kiddie's TV show that had puppets called Seaman Staines and Mr Bates. Ohh those Brits!
