Am new in Qatar Living & I just read ur question & got interested. Was wondering if u already found ur answers & if u can help my friend.

My friend is ending his 2-yr contract with a private company in Qatar really soon. He gave 2 months' notice. He was locally hired, his sister sponsored him and when he found this job, his sponsorship was transferred to this company. He wants to return to Qatar after a few months after he goes to his country. The thing is, it is his company's policy not to issue NOC. He has not asked his co. yet to give him NOC as he is quite sure he won't be given with one. He has finished his contract in the hope that he can more easily return to Qatar. His boss is planning to offer him increase in salary but he is reluctant to accept as he is made to work 12-15 hrs a day with no OT. He has no objection though, but he just wants to be able to return to Qatar.

Is there a way he can return to Qatar and is the ban of 2 yrs be applied to him despite finishing his contract? Is there any other way he can return with possibility of no NOC in his hand?

Would appreciate ur answers if u know. Thanks! I hope everything worked out for you.

U have to get an NOC (No Objection Certificate) from ur present employer. Since ur joining date is May 2007, it seems that, ur still on ur probation period. If u terminate ur employment when ur on probation period, u will have to pay the chagers that occured for ur job to ur current emplyer. Besides, NOC depends on ur employers decission. He may or maynot give an NOC.

There are two type of NOC's. One type allows u to re-enter with an immediate effect but will not be allowed to work anywere for two years. The second one allows u to work anywhere without any prob.

So while getting the NOC, throughly read the contents. Don't be in trouble. Gud Luck..
