QBS has it gone worse?

Is it just me or has QBS really started a decline I thought impossible?

Lately it seems that the morning "shouting" aka the Koran study/ Brain wash goes on until 6.30 - it used to be until 6.23ish
For one thing - it's already annoying that the morning is ruined by this. (Especially when you can't tune into Radio Bahrain or Radio 2 from UAE because of bad weather conditions).
And that Morning host and the really really OLD and bad music he is playing OMG. Come on a least play a bit more modern music say 4 out 5 songs is newer than 5 years.

In the afternoon we always had that French Merde until 16 - and after that some acceptable music, but now even that is ruined by some EXTREMELY old Jazz music from when Richard was young and able to dance, wtf is that all about. How hard can it be to play some decent music?

Bernie...is good..But the girl with the nasal twang ....who reads out the star signs....oh hell ....its unbearable.

Vasquez ...buy that FM adapater (QR 75 to 100) that plays your USB Pen drive into your FM. I have a Gigabit of MP3 music plugged into it.

Plus you can hook up another Audio player with Stero-Pin input.

I make it a point to avoid listening the "News" early in the morning ...cause it has an "Hypnotic" effect on you right through the day.

The 7o'clock news usually starts with news from the "Wehrmacht"....lol

QBS generally I do not listen- Ipod with FM transmitter in my car.

However, there used to be a great thurs eve rock show- yes really. the girl who presented was a little repetetive in intro's etc but she played THE BEST ROCK. In fact I used to detour on the way home to listen more. Where is she and what happened to the show?

I guess it was just tooooo good for QBS- maybe the ratings went up and it was removed from air!!!

Its consistantly garbage at best. The Presenter's ( Bernie especially) would struggle to find a late night slot on hospital radio any where else in the world. The only humour in the whole day is listening to the news readers pronounce virtually everything wrong!!!

Actually I really missed him when he went on vacation.

We love you Bernie. Bring it on! Elias is cool too. You guys rock.

Whats wrong with the French bit? I like Espresso with Guillaume and Huda. They're cool too.

Have you also tried The Bugle podcast in The Times? I have a feeling you probably aren't a Times reader, but The Bugle is quite fun. Along the lines of Friday Night QuizNight, but more newsy.

BH passes the time too, when I'm treadmilling :D

Sorry Gypsy - what was I thinking? The S word is haram just like the F word... Even though I love to hear a bit of S words while doing the f word...

Well I would really hate to hear church bells in the radio as well - I'm just not ready for it that early in the morning.

Well I like Bernie and his accent - but the stuff he plays?????

Good ole Bernie every morning with his hysterically funny stories (like how there is no coffee waiting for him), his great taste in modern rap music. Bernie rocks.

Then there's Rana with her in-depth interviews (the most recent with Mike? Jagger). I love the way she just babbles right through the songs with her inane chatter.

I also love the way QBS interrupts songs halfway through to play commercials.

QBS is just class through and through. Go QBS you so rock!

Hey Vasques use your CD player if you want your kind of music and leave QBS to canarybird. (She gave a job for me. Salary QR 100,000 a month)

I really enjoy listening to the old one he has some very good comments on his show.

However, I don't enjoy the Frenchies unless they play old songs.

Oldies but goldies.!!!!

:0 !! Vasquez you said the "s" word! How dare you call the peaceful sounds that issue from the depths of QBS the "s" word. Shame on you. :P

I can't stand QBS, if it isn't Koran reading, it's old Frank Sinatra or some French thing.

I suggest you take a couple of red pills dear, I really enjoy at least five minutes of the "old guy" and I enjoy his kind of music early morning. It is a least soothing in comparison to crowded music.

The lessons from the Koran make me often think about how I start my day and gives me peace of mind.
